Cat sanctuary “Cemetery Cats”
A safe place for cats🐾❤️
For several years, we have been supporting a group of volunteers who run the cat sanctuary “Cemetery Cats”.
What began with the care of a small colony of around 30 stray cats next to the cemetery of Corfu Town has now grown into a large-scale project with approximately 130 cats. The volunteers provide the animals with daily food, medical care, and a safe place to call home.

For sick cats and kittens, a small hut has been rented and two additional shelters have been built thanks to our donations, providing the animals with a protected environment. All other cats live outdoors, where a large covered structure has been erected to protect them from rain, sun, and storms.
Since the summer of 2024, we have been funding a mobile veterinarian, thanks to a generous earmarked donation, who treats the cats on a weekly basis. In addition, we support the organisation with rehoming efforts and also collect and provide donated goods for them in Switzerland.
